An award winning variety that produces dome shaped dark green heads with delicious side shoots that can be harvested over a long period of time during summer.

Brassicas require a fertile well drained soil in partial shade that has been well dug in autumn they do not grow well in acidic soil so adding lime to the soil may be necessary.

 

Sow indoors from February onwards into seed trays on moist compost, pot and on when the plants are large enough to handle. When they have around 5 leaves harden off and transplant outside to their final growing position spacing the plants around 60cm apart and 30cm between rows treading the plants in well.

Water well before transplanting and during dry periods. 

 

Alternatively sow out doors between late March - April or  September - October sowing thinly in drills 1.25cm deep thin the seedlings spacing the plants 60cm apart and 30cm between rows in their final planting position treading the plants in well.
