Broccoli Cavolo Spigariello Seeds - Irish Plants Direct 
 
This Italian heirloom variety is a cross between broccoli and kale with a sweet flavour. 
The flower heads are cut and come again and will continue to produce sweet stems over a long period of time. The leaves are also edible and could be used in a variety of dishes raw in salad, braised steamed or boiled. 
 
Traditionally from Naples this productive vegetable was used as a topping for pizza.

Alternatively sow out doors between May - June in a seed bed sowing thinly in drills 1.25cm deep thin the seedlings eventually spacing the plants 45cm apart and 45cm between rows in their final planting position treading the plants in well.
