This fast growing hardy annual has attractive erect spikes of bright green cup shaped flowers during summer.

 

A lovely scented border plant that makes a nice cut or dried flower.

Sow between March - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on. 

 

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.

 

Can be direct sown from may. 

 

For best results chill the sed for 1-2 weeks before sowing.
