Begonia Hula Red Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This long flowering half hardy annual has a spreading habit with well branched stems that bear small bright red flowers over dark foliage.

They are ideal for for pots and hanging baskets creating long lasting displays.

Sow December - March

Germination time 14 - 21 days.

Loam, clay or sand soil that's acidic or neutral

Height 15 - 25cm spread upto 50cm

Plant in part shade - sun

Flowers June - September

Ideal for beds, borders, pots and containers and hanging baskets

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow between December - March in a propagator or on a warm window sill onto sieved moist compost and press the seed down gently.

Transplant the seedlings when they are large enough to handle into trays spacing the plants 5cm apart to grow on.

Harden off before planting out when all risk of frost has passed.
