Beetroot Pablo F1 Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This award winning beetroot produces high yeilds uniformed smooth skinned deep red roots and excellent flavour.

Use as baby beets or leave to mature they can be grown in containers on a sunny patio.

An easy to grow salad vegetable that is fast to mature.

Sow April - July

Germination 7 - 21 days

Loam - sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest June - December

Companion plants Broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, french bean, spinach, onion.

Do not plant with runner beans

Harvest baby beets for use in salads or leave to grow on. The young leaves can be used as spinach

A good source of vitamin A,C and fibre

Use in Salads, freezing , boiling and pickling

Sow into well raked prepared fertile soil from April. The drills should be around 1.5 cm deep and well watered sow the seed thinly each drill should be around 30cm apart.

Thin out the seedlings to around 5cm apart to grow on, keep the plants well watered in warm weather.

Regular sowing will ensure a continuous supply of crops.

Could also be grown in pots and containers.
