Beetroot 3 Mix Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

A high yielding mix of different varieties of root vegetables that store well after lifting.

This pack includes Albina Veredua, Burgess Golden and Bono.

Sow April - July

Germination 7 - 21 days

Loam - sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest July - October

Companion plants Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, French bean, spinach, onion.

Do not plant with runner beans

Harvest baby beets for use in salads or leave to grow on. The young leaves can be used as spinach

A good source of vitamin A, C, and fibre

Used Use in Salads, raw, boiling

Sow into well raked prepared fertile soil from April.

The drills should be around 2.5 cm deep and well watered sow the seed thinly each drill should be around 30cm apart.

Thin out the seedlings to 10cm to grow on, keeping the plants well watered in warm weather.

Regular sowing will ensure a continuous supply of crops.
