Aubrieta Cascade Mixed Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This low growing spreading evergreen perennial has a mix of flowers in a varying shades of mauve, blue and red from late spring.

They provide excellent colour and are great for encouraging a host of wildlife to the garden.

Sow February - June

Germination time 7- 21 days

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Height 10cm

Plant in sun or partial shade.

Flowers April - June the following year

Ideal in Rockeries, banks and slopes, beds, borders, cottage and gravel gardens

Cut back after flowering

Sow in a propagator between February - April on a warm window sill or greenhouse at 55-65 degrees onto finely sieved moist compost do not cover the seed.

As the seedlings develop transplant to 7cm pots to grow on.

Gradually harden off before planting out to fliwer the following year leaving 30cm between plants.

Sow outdoors between May - June into warm moist finely raked soil to flower the following year.
