  • Description

Alyssum Gold Dust is a bright and cheerful perennial grown as an annual, producing masses of tiny golden yellow flowers that form a sparkling carpet of colour.

The blooms appear in generous clusters above neat silver green foliage, creating a vivid contrast that lights up rockeries, walls, borders and containers.
Plants grow low and spreading, quickly forming a dense mat that spills beautifully over edges and stones.

Flowering begins in spring and continues into early summer, providing long lasting colour at a time when many plants are only starting to grow. The flowers are lightly scented and attract bees and early pollinators into the garden.

This variety thrives in sunny positions and well drained soil, showing excellent drought tolerance once established. It is easy to grow, reliable and perfect for gardeners who want a burst of early season colour with very little maintenance.

A bright and uplifting plant that brings warmth, texture and a golden glow to any outdoor space.

Sowing Instructions
Sow seeds indoors in trays or small pots filled with moist compost. Cover lightly and keep at a steady temperature until germination. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant outdoors after the last frost in a sunny well drained position. Alternatively, sow directly into prepared soil in spring.

Grow and Maintenance
Water regularly during establishment, then sparingly once plants are growing strongly. Alyssum prefers free draining soil and thrives in warm sunny positions. Trim lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth. Ideal for rockeries, walls, edging and containers.
Success Tip: Plant in gravel, stone crevices or raised beds for the best drainage and the brightest colour.
