Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from February to April in seed trays or pots filled with fine compost. Press the seeds lightly onto the surface but do not cover, as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil moist and maintain a temperature of 18-21°C. Germination typically occurs within 10-14 days.

 

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions before planting in the garden after the risk of frost has passed. Space plants 15-20 cm apart in a sunny or partially shaded location with well-drained soil.

 

 

For bushier plants and more blooms, pinch out growing tips when young. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering and keep plants looking their best.

 

Ageratum Blue is a wonderful choice for edging paths, filling gaps in borders, and adding a soft, cottage-garden feel to any outdoor space.
