Sow February to April indoors in pots or trays. Germination 21 to 30 days at 18–22°C. Soil and Position Fertile well drained soil; prefers full sun and sheltered sites. Height Up to 600 cm with woody stems and cascading blue racemes. Flowering May to June with occasional repeat blooms in late summer.

 

Sowing instructions

Soak seeds overnight before sowing. Sow individually in pots 2 cm deep using free draining compost. Place in a warm bright position and keep soil moist. Transplant seedlings into larger pots once established. Harden off before planting outdoors after the last frost. Provide strong supports for climbing growth.

 

Grow and maintenance
