Sowing Instructions

 

Indoors: Sow seeds from February to April in pots or trays of seed compost. Lightly cover and maintain a temperature of 18–21°C. Keep moist and provide good light for strong growth. When large enough, prick out seedlings and transplant into individual pots.

 

Planting Out: Once all risk of frost has passed, harden off plants and transplant outdoors into fertile, sunny soil or large containers. Provide stakes or support and space plants 45–60 cm apart. Pinch out side shoots to encourage strong fruiting.

 

Harvesting: Fruits ripen from mid-summer. Pick regularly to encourage further crops.
