Sowing Instructions

 

Start seeds indoors from February to April in seed trays or small pots filled with fine compost. Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep and maintain a temperature of 18–22°C. Once seedlings develop true leaves, transplant them into larger pots before hardening off and moving outdoors when the risk of frost has passed.

 

Transplant into a sunny, sheltered location from late May to early June, spacing plants 50 cm apart. Provide sturdy support and regularly remove side shoots to encourage strong fruiting. Keep soil consistently moist and feed with a high-potassium fertiliser for the best yield.
