Sowing Instructions

 

Indoors: Sow seeds in trays or pots filled with fine seed compost from February to April. Sow 0.5 cm deep, water gently, and maintain a temperature of 18–21°C. Once seedlings are large enough, prick out into individual pots and grow on in bright, warm conditions.

 

Outdoors/Greenhouse: Harden off seedlings after the last frost and plant in a sunny, sheltered location. Space plants 40–50 cm apart, provide support if needed, and feed regularly with a high-potash fertiliser to encourage fruiting.
