Sunflower Copper Queen F1 Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This tall brightly coloured annual has high quality orange flowers with a brown centre.

A single stem sunflower that is pollen free making it a great cut flower but is also rich in nectar.

Sunflowers are great for attracting valuable wildlife into the garden.

Also known as Helianthus

Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.

Sow between late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow space the plants to 30 - 45cm apart.

Alternatively sow during March on a sunny window sill in pots.

Gradually harden off planting the sunflowers 39 - 45cm apart.
