Squash Green Hokkaido ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

A smaller fruiting variety with a climbing habit.

The dark green skins have pale green stripes and bright orange flesh that has a sweet nutty flavour each weighing upto 1.5kg with a diameter of upto 15cm.

Sow between March - May into 9cm pots placing 2 seeds on their side 1.5 cm deep place on a sunny window sill or propagator.

Keeping moist remove the weaker seeding when they emerge and grow on the stronger one.

When the plants get 4/5 leaves gently accustom them to the outside and plant out when the risk of frost has passed leaving 100cm between plants.

Alternatively sow outside from late May 100cm apart placing 2 seeds in the ground 1.5cm deep remove the weaker seedling when they emerge.
