Salvia White Bedder Seeds

A luminous counterpart to its blue flowered cousin, ‘White Bedder’ produces elegant spikes of pure white blooms above soft grey-green foliage.

 

This compact annual salvia flowers continuously from early summer to frost, adding brightness and vertical interest to borders, containers, and pollinator friendly plantings.

 

Heat tolerant and low maintenance, it thrives in full sun and well drained soil. The nectar rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hoverflies, and are excellent for fresh arrangements.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow indoors from February to April. Cover seeds lightly with compost and keep moist. Maintain at 18 to 22°C. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and harden off before planting out after the last frost. Can also be direct sown in May for later blooms.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water during dry spells and deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Feed occasionally for best performance. Suitable for bedding schemes, mixed borders, and pollinator plantings. May overwinter in mild climates or reseed lightly.
