Physostegia Virginiana Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This compact upright perennial has pure white tubular flowers that stand on strong stems with mid-green lance-shaped leaves during summer.

A lovely cottage garden flower attractive to various wildlife.

Loam, chalk, or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline, or neutral

Germination time 14 - 21 days.

Plant in sun or partial shade.

Ideal for beds, borders, wildlife, cottage, cut

Cut back after flowering

Sow between February - June on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

The ideal germination temperature is 20° - 25°.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on or individual pots.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their flowering position.
