Pepper Sweet Mix Seeds

Sweet Pepper Mixed is a convenient way to grow a variety of colourful peppers from a single packet.

 

The mix contains blocky bell type peppers in shades of red, yellow, orange, and green, offering both visual appeal and culinary versatility.

 

The plants are compact and upright, typically reaching 60 to 80 cm in height, and are suitable for greenhouse growing or outdoor cultivation in warm sheltered sites. Each plant produces multiple fruits with thick, juicy walls and a mild sweet flavour.

Sow January to April indoors with heat

Germination 14 to 21 days at 20 to 25°C

Soil and Position Fertile well drained soil in full sun. Best results in greenhouse or polytunnel, though can be grown outdoors in warm summers

Height/Spread Plants 60 to 80 cm tall, 40 to 50 cm spread

Harvest July to October. Fruits ripen from green to red, yellow, or orange depending on variety

 

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds in pots or trays of moist compost, covering lightly with soil. Keep at 20 to 25°C until germination. Transplant seedlings into individual pots and grow on in warm bright conditions. Harden off and plant out after last frost, spacing 40 to 50 cm apart.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Keep soil consistently moist and feed weekly with a high potassium fertiliser once flowering begins. Support plants with canes if heavily laden with fruit. For best flavour and colour, allow fruits to ripen fully on the plant.
