Sowing Instructions

Sow seeds on the surface of moist well drained compost and lightly press in without covering deeply. Maintain a temperature of 15 to 20°C in a propagator or covered tray. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out after the last frost spacing 30 to 40 cm apart. For direct sowing scatter thinly over prepared soil once the ground has warmed.

 

Grow and Maintenance

Water sparingly as plants prefer dry conditions once established. Comb through old foliage in spring to remove dead material and maintain the soft flowing appearance. Avoid heavy wet soils. Mexican Feathergrass thrives in sunny exposed positions and is ideal for gravel gardens prairie borders and contemporary plantings.
