Sowing Instructions

 

For early flowering, sow seeds indoors from February to April. Use trays or pots filled with moist, well-drained compost, scattering seeds thinly on the surface. Cover lightly with a fine layer of compost and maintain a temperature of 18-22°C. Keep the compost consistently moist. Germination typically occurs within 7-14 days.

 

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually harden off plants by placing them outdoors during the day for a week before planting out after the last frost. Space plants 15-20 cm apart in their final positions.

 

For outdoor sowing, plant seeds directly in well-prepared soil in May. Sow thinly, cover lightly with soil, and water well. Thin seedlings to the recommended spacing once they have established.
