Lychnis Arkwrightii Vesuvius Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This upright perennial has clusters of bright orange flowers that stand on tall stems above attractive bronzed foliage.

An eye catching hardy perennial that is perfect for long lasting summer colour plant towards the front of a sunny mixed border.

Sow January - April or May - June

Loam or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 7- 21 days

Ideal for beds, borders, wildlife, cottage, coast, low maintenance

Cut down after flowering

Sow between January - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out after all risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow in a seed bed from May - June plant the young plants into their final flowering position in autumn.
