Sow March to September directly outdoors in prepared beds or in trays for transplanting. Germination 7 to 14 days at 15 to 20°C. Soil and Position Fertile well drained soil enriched with compost; prefers full sun or partial shade. Height 15 to 30 cm with mixed leaf forms. Harvesting 4 to 6 weeks from sowing; cut and come again for repeated harvests.

 

Sowing instructions

Prepare a fine seed bed in full sun or partial shade. Sow seeds thinly in drills 1 cm deep and 25 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 10 cm spacing once established. Water well after sowing and keep soil evenly moist during dry spells. Succession sowings every 2 to 3 weeks extend the harvest season.

 

Grow and maintenance

Grow in fertile soil with regular watering during dry periods. French Mix thrives in sunny sites and partial shade. Harvest leaves regularly to encourage fresh growth. Suitable for container growing as well as open ground.
