Jacobs Ladder ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This pretty hardy perennial is a magnet for any passing bee's.

The clusters of purple blue bell shaped flowers stand on slender stems above mound forming small ferny green foliage.

An excellent low maintenance plant for mixed borders and cottage garden schemes.

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 21 - 28 days

Also known as polemonium caeruleum

Deadhead to prolong flowering, then cut back in spring.

Sow between March - April on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 5mm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 5cm apart into trays to grow on.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out into their final flowering position after the risk of frost has passed.

Alternatively sow in a seed bed between April - July transplanting the young plants to their final flowering in autumn.
