Description

Horseradish Tree Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This easy to grow fast growing perennial plant has neat green leaves with fragrant hanging creamy white flowers that produce seed pods.

Known as the miracle tree all parts of the plant can be used once established.

Protection may be need during winter in cold areas.

Could be grown as a conservatory plant.

Sow January - March or year round

Germination 14 - 21 days

Well drained soil

90cm - 120cm

Harvest November - March

Use all parts of the plant. It can be used as an anti inflammatory to help rheumatism.

Pre soak the seed the night before.

Sow between January - March and plant out after the risk of frost has passed.

It is possible to sow year round.

Sow thinly onto a tray of moist compost 1cm deep covering lightly. Keep the temperature between 20° - 25°.

When the seedings are large enough to handle pot into 5cm pots or seed tray 2cm apart to grow on.

Plant out 20cm apart.

Harvest the root by digging up the plant and cutting a third off the top of the root then replant again to grow on.
