Hollyhock Violet Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This cottage garden favourite has tall spires of attractive clusters of fully double light purple flowers from late summer onwards.

They are perfect colour for the back of a sunny mixed border creating height and interest.

This perennial is often grown as a biennial.

Cut down to the base after flowering. May need staking

Sow between April - June on a warm window sill or propagator into trays of moist compost cover with 1.5cm of sieved compost.

When the seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into 7.5 cm pots.

Plant out from July onwards for them to flower the following summer.
