Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from March to May in trays or pots filled with moist, well-drained compost. Lightly press the seeds into the surface, but do not cover them, as they require light to germinate. Keep the compost moist and maintain a temperature of 18-21°C. Germination typically takes 14-21 days.

 

For outdoor sowing, wait until April to June and choose a shaded or partially shaded spot in well-drained soil. Scatter seeds thinly, pressing them gently into the surface. Keep the soil moist during germination, which usually takes around 14-21 days. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into their final positions, spacing them 15-30 cm apart to allow them to spread.

 

Forget Me Not Blue prefers cooler, shaded areas but will tolerate full sun in cooler climates. Water regularly and feed with a balanced fertiliser to encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering and prevent the plants from becoming leggy.
