Festuca Glauca Blue Grass Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This easy to grow ornamental evergreen grass forms mounds of attractive silver blue green needle like leaves with slender spikes of brown seed heads during summer.

They are a great addition to garden borders, rockeries and container displays.

Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Germination time 14 - 21 days

Ideal in beds, borders, containers, gravel, low maintenance, cottage, rockeries

Sow the seed between February - April into a tray of moist compost and leave on a sunny window sill cover with a fine layer of compost.

When the seedlings emerge clump several seedlings together and pot into small individual pots to grow on.

Plant out where they are to grow from early summer.
