Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from March to April or directly outdoors from late May to June. For indoor sowing, place seeds in seed trays or pots, lightly covering them with fine compost. Keep soil moist and maintain a temperature of 18–22°C for optimal germination.

 

Once seedlings have established, transplant them outdoors in a sunny location after the last frost. Space plants 20 cm apart and ensure the soil is well-drained to promote healthy growth.

 

For outdoor sowing, scatter seeds directly into the soil, lightly raking to ensure they make good contact with the earth. Thin seedlings as they grow to maintain proper spacing.

 

Regular harvesting of the fresh leaves encourages new growth. Dill can be harvested when the leaves reach a good size, and it also benefits from frequent trimming to maintain a bushier, more productive plant.
