A romantic biennial or short lived perennial producing clusters of fragrant lilac purple to white blooms.

Height 60–90 cm tall with clusters of lilac-purple to white flowers.
Flowering May–August.
 
Sowing instructions
Sow seeds thinly on the surface of moist compost and press lightly. Do not cover, as light aids germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing 30 cm apart. Alternatively sow directly outdoors in prepared beds.
 
Grow and maintenance
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil with regular watering. Damask Flower thrives in sunny or lightly shaded positions. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering. Allow some plants to self-seed for naturalised displays.
