Sow March to May indoors or directly outdoors after the last frost. Germination 7 to 14 days at 18 to 22°C. Soil and Position Fertile well drained soil enriched with compost; prefers full sun and sheltered conditions. Height and Spread Compact plants suitable for greenhouse or outdoor culture. Harvesting June to September; pick fruits when 8 to 10 cm long for best flavour.

 

Sowing instructions

Sow seeds individually in pots indoors from March or directly outdoors after frost risk has passed. Plant seeds 1 to 2 cm deep. Harden off indoor seedlings before transplanting. Space plants 45 cm apart in rows or grow in containers. Water well after sowing and keep soil evenly moist.
