Looking for something thing a little different to grow? These colourful courgettes have large rounded yellow fruits that have a great flavour and texture use sliced or stuffed. 

The flowers are also edible.

Sow indoors from March to May into  9cm pots sowing two seeds per pot on their side 2.5cm deep and cover with compost.  

Place on a sunny window sill, warm greenhouse or propagator to germinate. Remove the weakest plant leaving the stronger plant when the roots are visible at the bottom of the pot transplant into a larger pot to grow on again. Harden off when the danger of frost has passed and plant outside into a sunny spot, or grow on in the greenhouse or tunnel in a humus rich border or grow bag.  

 

Alternatively sow outside in May where they are to grow.
