Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from April to May or directly outdoors after the last frost. If sowing indoors, use seed trays or pots filled with fine compost, placing seeds 2-3 cm deep. Maintain a temperature of 18-21°C for optimal germination. Once the seeds have germinated and the seedlings have grown large enough to handle, harden them off before transplanting outdoors.

 

When transplanting outdoors, space plants 30-40 cm apart in a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained soil. Regular harvesting of the courgettes encourages more fruit to develop, ensuring a long lasting harvest.
