Courgette Genovese ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct 

 

This is an Italian variety with long cylindrical pale green and cream skins and a crispy white flesh. 

 

This prolific cropper has a bush habit making it easier for cropping. 

 

The flowers are also edible.

Sow indoors between March to May into 9cm pots two seeds per pot sowing on their side 2.5cm deep and cover with compost.  

 

Place on a sunny window sill, warm greenhouse or propagator to germinate. Remove the weaker plant growing on the stronger plant when the roots are visible at the bottom of the pot transplant into a larger pot and grow on again.

 

Harden off and when the danger of frost has passed plant outside into a sunny spot, or grow on in the greenhouse or tunnel in a humus rich border or grow bag.  

 

Alternatively sow outside in May where they are to grow.
