Cornflower Classic Magic Seed - Irish Plants Direct

An attractive hardy annual with a fabulous mix of different shaded purple flowers from light mauve to deep almost black many with white tips on each petal.

They create stunning displays during summer especially if they are grown in drifts.

Sow March - June or August - October to flower the following year

Germination time 10-14 days

Loam or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

Deadhead to prolong flowering

Sow the seed in a sunny border from March - April in warm moist finely raked soil where they are to flower 5mm deep. When the seedlings emerge thin them to 10-15cm.

Alternatively sow September to flower the following year.
