Common Rue ORGANIC Seeds

Common Rue is a hardy, aromatic herb prized for its distinctive blue green foliage and clusters of small, yellow flowers.

A drought-tolerant perennial, it flourishes in poor, well-drained soil and requires little maintenance once established. Due to its potent essential oils, care should be taken when handling, as the sap may cause skin sensitivity in some individuals.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from March to May or directly outdoors from May onwards. For indoor sowing, use seed trays filled with fine compost, sow seeds on the surface, and lightly cover with compost or vermiculite. Maintain a temperature of 18-22°C and keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.

 

Once seedlings develop strong roots, transplant them into individual pots before hardening them off and planting them in their final position. Space plants 30-40 cm apart in a well-drained, sunny location.

 

For outdoor sowing, scatter seeds onto well-prepared soil, cover lightly, and water gently. Thin seedlings as needed to achieve proper spacing.
