Clustered Bellflower Mixed Seeds

A charming perennial blend featuring dense clusters of bell shaped blooms in shades of violet blue lavender and soft white. Clustered Bellflower Mixed forms upright stems topped with tight floral spikes that rise above a base of toothed green foliage. The flowers are long lasting and attract bees butterflies and other beneficial insects throughout the summer.

 

This variety thrives in full sun or partial shade and well drained soil. It is ideal for cottage gardens wildlife borders and naturalistic planting schemes.

Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds on the surface of moist well drained compost and press lightly. Do not cover as light aids germination. Maintain warmth at 15 to 20°C in a propagator or covered tray. Germination may take 2 to 4 weeks. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out after last frost spacing 30 to 40 cm apart. For direct sowing wait until soil is warm and frost risk has passed.

 

Grow and Maintenance

 

Water regularly during dry spells and feed monthly with a balanced fertiliser. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage further flowering. Cut back after flowering to maintain shape and vigour. Suitable for borders wildlife gardens and informal schemes. May self seed in favourable conditions.
