Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds outdoors from March to May in well-prepared soil. Scatter seeds thinly on the surface, lightly pressing them into the soil, and water gently. Thin seedlings to 20-30 cm apart as they grow to allow for full development.

 

For an earlier display, sow seeds indoors from February to April in trays of fine compost. Press seeds lightly into the surface without covering, as they require light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 15-18°C until germination. Transplant seedlings into individual pots when they are large enough to handle, and harden them off before planting outdoors after the last frost.
