This attractive chicory has long pointed green foliage that turns red as the weather gets colder.

This is an easy to grow autumn or winter vegetable that can be used in winter salads or stirfry.

Loam or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Companion Plants Beetroot, beans, carrots, peppers and radish

Use in Salads, stirfry or lightly steam

Radicchio likes a moist well fertilised soil. Rake in some fertaliser a week before sowing.

Sow from June in drills 1.5cm deep and leave 35cm between rows. When the seedlings appear thin to 15cm apart.
