Sow seeds directly outdoors from March to July in well-prepared, stone-free soil. Create shallow drills about 1 cm deep and space rows 20–25 cm apart. Keep the soil moist during germination, which typically takes 10–20 days at 10–20°C. Once seedlings emerge, thin to 5–8 cm apart to allow roots to develop fully. This variety tolerates heavier soils better than longer-rooted types and performs well in containers with loose compost. Ensure full sun exposure and weed regularly to reduce competition. Water evenly to prevent splitting and harvest when roots reach full colour and size, typically from June to October.
