Cabbage Greyhound Seeds – Irish Plants Direct
 
Cabbage Greyhound (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) is a fast maturing, pointed head variety ideal for early cropping and compact spaces.
 
With its tight, conical heads and tender, sweet leaves, Greyhound is perfect for raised beds, containers, and succession sowing bringing fresh flavour to spring and summer dishes.
 
Thriving in fertile, moisture retentive soil, Cabbage Greyhound flourishes in full sun and offers uniform growth, excellent flavour, and minimal waste.
 
Its compact habit makes it suitable for smaller plots, while the early maturity ensures a quick turnaround for productive gardens.

Sowing Instructions
 
Indoors or Outdoors:
Sow seeds 1 cm deep in trays or directly into prepared beds. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing 30 cm apart in rows 40 cm apart. Water regularly and mulch to retain moisture.
 
Growing On:
Protect young plants from cabbage root fly and caterpillars. Harvest when heads are firm and well-formed, before they begin to split. Cut at the base and remove outer leaves for clean presentation.
