Sowing Instructions

Outdoors or Containers:

Sow from March to July in shallow drills 2 cm deep. Space rows 25 cm apart and thin seedlings to 10 cm for full sized roots or 5 cm for baby beets. For containers, use a deep pot or trough with fertile compost and keep soil evenly moist.

 

Growing On:

Water regularly during dry spells to prevent woody roots. Harvest young for tender baby beets or allow to mature for full sized roots with rich flavour.
