Sowing Instructions

 

Sow seeds indoors from April to May, in small pots or modules, about 2.5 cm deep. Keep the soil warm and moist at a temperature of 18-21°C until germination. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, harden them off before planting outdoors, after the last frost has passed.

 

When planting outdoors, space plants 30-40 cm apart in rows that are 60-70 cm apart. Sweetcorn requires a sunny spot and well-drained soil, so prepare the soil by adding organic matter before sowing.

 

For maximum pollination, plant in blocks of at least four rows to help ensure the best possible yield.
