Pak Choi Chinese Mustard Cabbage ORGANIC Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This fast growing brassica is closely related to the Chinese cabbage and produces high yeilds of dark green spoon shaped leaves with a slightly mustard aromatic flavour.

Sow little and often for continuous crops the leaves can be harvested from around six weeks after sowing.

Ideal for adding to salads and oriental dishes.

Sow March - August

Germination 14 - 21 days

Loam or sandy soil that's alkaline or neutral

Harvest May - October

Companion plants Cauliflower, Onions, Potato, Lettuce and Nasturtiums

Harvest by cutting at the base

A good source of vitamin C and k

Use in stir-fry, salads and oriental dishes

Brassica's require alkaline soil so liming my be necessary.

Sow thinly in a prepared seed bed from March - July 25cm apart and 1.5 cm deep Cover lightly and keep moist.

When the seedlings appear thin to 20cm apart to grow on. Sow every 2 - 3 weeks for a continuous crop.
