Sunny Flowers Sunflower Helianthus Fantasy Seed - Irish Plants Direct

This lower growing sunflower has a lovely mix of creamy yellow and golden orange flowers on branching stems during summer.

They are excellent choice for growing in pots and containers or in a sunny flower border and would make a nice cut flower for around the home.

Sunflowers are an excellent choice for encouraging wildlife into the garden.

Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.

Sow between late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow space the plants to 30 - 45cm apart.

Alternatively sow in March on a sunny window sill in pots.

Gradually harden off planting the sunflowers 39 - 45cm apart.
