This lower growing sunflower has large bi coloured flower heads in various shades of yellow, bronze and orange during summer.

An easy to grow tall striking plant for the back of a sunny border.

Sunflowers encourage a host of valuable wildlife into the garden.

Leave the seed heads over winter to feed the birds.

Sow between late April - May into a fine layer of raked warm moist soil 13mm deep where the plants are to grow space the plants to 30 - 45cm apart.

Alternatively sow during March on a sunny window sill in pots.

Gradually harden off the plants before planting out 39 - 45cm apart.
