Xotica Collection Chilli Pepper Habanero Mix Seed - Irish Plants Direct
 
This mix of different coloured chilli peppers has a good range of colours in varying shades of orange, yellow red and green.
 
An extremely hot and firey mix with wrinkled lantern shaped thick flesh. 
 
Grow in a tunnel or greenhouse for best results but could be grown in pots on a sunny sheltered patio.
 
Seed Qty 0.5gram
 
Sow January - April 
Germination 7 - 10 days
Loam or sandy soil that's acidic or neutral 
Harvest July - October
Companion Plants Tomato, Cucumber, Chard, Squash.
Do not plant with Beans, Brassicas or Fennel
Harvest when the fruits are developed enough by snipping off the Chilli with scissors. They can be left on  the plant to gain more heat
A good source of vitamin C
Use in soups, casseroles and Oriental dishes
 
Chilli's can be grown outside in a sheltered sunny spot or in the tunnel or greenhouse in borders, large pots or grow bags. 
 
Apply a liquid feed every two weeks after the first flowers appear. 
 
Chilli's may cause skin irritation so wearing gloves when handling the fruits ma be necessary. 
 
Sow between February to April filling a small seed tray with compost and cover with fine compost. Keep the compost moist place on a sunny windowsill, warm green house or propagator at 18 - 20 degrees.
 
Transplant to larger individual pots when the seedlings are large enough to handle to grow on. 
 
If the plants are to be grown outside harden off and plant out in June - July or grow in the tunnel or greenhouse.
