Lemongrass Herb Seeds - Irish Plants Direct

This popular fragant herb has a sweet lemon flavour and grows in dense clumps of strapy grass like bright green leaves.

Use whole or chop to add to aisian cusine.

Lemon grass is not a frost tolerant plant and requires warmth grow in pots on a sunny window sill, greenhouse or poly tunnel.

Sow thinly indoors on a sunny window sill or warn greenhouse in pots. Thin the seedling to 30cm apart and keep well watered until the plants are established.

☀️Sow April - July

☀️Loam, chalk or sandy soil that's acidic, alkaline or neutral

☀️Germination takes 7 - 21 days

☀️Harvest June - September

☀️Peel the outer leaves slice or use whole.

Can be used fresh, dried or can be frozen

☀️Use in Aisan cookin

☀️Cut out any dead leaves in summer.
