This award winning early cabbage is a compact compact variety with pointed green heads that have an excellent taste and texture.

 

They are fast maturing from early summer onwards and ideal for smaller gardens.

Cabbages requires a fertile well drained soil in partial shade that has been well dug in autumn they do not grow well in acidic soil so adding lime to the soil may be necessary.

 

Sow indoors from February onwards when the plants have around 5 leaves harden off and transplant outside into their final planting position spacing the plants around 45cm apart and 45cm between rows treading the plants in well.

 

Alternatively sow outdoors between February - July in a seed bed sowing thinly in drills 1.25cm deep thin the seedlings eventually spacing the plants 45cm apart and 45cm between rows in their final growing position treading the plants in well.

 

Water well when transplanting and during any dry spells.
