Basil Lemon ORGANIC Herb Seeds

 

This easy to grow aromatic herb has bright green lemon flavoured leaves with white flowers in summer the leaves are scented when crushed.

 

Grow in the garden in pots and container displays or on the kitchen window sill. 

 

Transplant in small bunches.

Sow February - June or year round for indoor use 

Germination 7 - 10 days

Loam - neutral soil

Harvest June - October

Sow the seed thinly from February onto well drained compost and cover lightly and leave on a sunny window sill.

 

Basil doesn't tolerate any cold so make sure all frosts have passed before planting out. It has small white flowers during summer pinch out the flower head or just trim the plant after flowering to encourage new leaf growth.

 

It can be sown outside directly into the soil during June when the soil is warm.
