Sowing Instructions

 

Indoors:

Sow seeds thinly on the surface of fine seed compost from February to April. Lightly press seeds but do not cover them, as light encourages germination. Maintain a temperature of 18–20°C and keep the soil moist. Once seedlings are strong enough, prick out into individual pots and grow on until ready to plant outdoors.

 

Outdoors:

After the last frost, transplant seedlings into a sunny or partially shaded location with well-drained soil, spacing 30–40 cm apart. Mulch lightly to retain moisture and encourage healthy growth.
